Project Overview

The Stantec building 105 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, underwent a complete office retrofit with a low carbon build designed to reduce embodied and operational carbon whilst meeting climate risk requirements.

Low carbon high performance facade

Thermosash delivered a total clad solution including our PW1000 low embodied carbon Unitised Curtainwall system with high performance double glazed engineered glass, ensuring the five-level building is energy-efficient and climate-optimised - as well as providing optimal solar control daylight to the internal spaces. Our system offers a 93% reduction in carbon footprint when compared to a standard imported extrusion system.

Sustainable standards

The office refit has been architecturally crafted to achieve high sustainable standards with specific features such as a biophilic wall, solar power generation, hot water heating technology that uses CO2 and a building management system to handle internal lighting and climate conditions.
