Meridian Site 7

In 2007 the Meridian Energy head office specific design façade solution also known as Site 7 or The Kumototo Building, was completed by Thermosash Commercial.

Included in the building envelope:

• High performance transparent twin skin curtainwall façade - the anodised aluminium and glass double skin curtainwall creates a 400mm cavity that captures solar gains and limits heat loss
• Aluminium louvres with automatic actuators - providing passive heating and cooling of the building
• Integrated timbre louvres with automatic actuators
• Skylights
• Shopfront

This building has been a flagship for sustainable architecture incorporating specific design façade solutions providing New Zealand with its first 5 Green Star Design and Build. The Meridian Building in Wellington continues to prove itself through the integration of smart design and the clever use of specific design façade technology.
