The Tip Top building is an iconic part of the Auckland Motorway network. For many years it has been the multi-coloured building of red blue and yellow - but was in need of replacement. The new Thermosash flush glaze unitised system has refreshed this icon of Auckland; not only does the reclad look great but it has some great performance aspects as well. The building is located adjacent to the one of the busiest motorways in the country and the facade needed to perform acoustically.
The double glazed blue tint windows with a high light transmission, and also a high solar shading coefficient, provide a calming environment internally.
"The Thermosash unitised system delivered the clean modernised look needed for Auckland's iconic 'Tip Top' corner. The Thermosash system allows for a quick installation period, an important factor for us as project managers - as the office behind the new façade installation remained 100% operational." says Aaron Trembath, Architectural Director at Peter Swan Ltd.
